What's new in the gym? Glad you asked!

It’s been a long time since the last blog update, and a few changes are in the mix!

I’ve added a new streaming strength and conditioning platform to the gym called Fightcamp. It’s a fun tool to get your conditioning in if you love boxing, but don’t have the time or prefer not to take an in person class. The bag is at the gym; it pairs with bluetooth trackers that insert directly into your wraps and can track your punch count and output. This makes it a bit more goal oriented and fun when you’re in the middle of a session.

I ask everyone interested in using the bag to please supply your own gloves and wraps for sanitary reasons; The trackers are available at the gym and I can easily help guide you through the process of using them if you’re interested. Alternatively, if you’re interested in purchasing your own gloves/trackers from Fightcamp directly, you can do so here.

COVID guidelines are all relaxed now, so mask use is all based on personal preference.

I am temporarily suspending day pass use for non-members as my member base has grown and I need to serve my members first. You’ll notice on the website that the option to purchase a day pass has been removed; I’ll revisit this in the future as the gym heads into the fall.

Lastly, unfortunately my costs are going up. Th economic talk of the season has been inflation across the board, and I’ve kept my rates the same for years. There will be a modest rate increase in the fall/winter; I will provide more details in a separate email/blog post/member notice.
